Folks have had the most success with an FTDI chipset USB-to-RS232 converters
as opposed to the Prolific chipset converters.
I have had good luck with Valley Enterprises and they come with a 10-foot
cable.

Subject: [Dx4win] connection from radio to computer?

Hi All

I am replacing my desktop with a win 7 laptop. The radio is a Kenwood TS
950sdx. The interface is a Kenwood IF-232C to the old serial port on the
desktop running XP. Is there a recommended dongle to connect the serial to
USB port on laptop or is this not the way to go? I am running DX4WIN v8.

Tnx Wally W1IOO
