What version of DX4WIN? I can try it myself if I can find the same version or something close to it. It may be a Win 10 thing, though I no longer have a Win7 system to try it on. Both 8.05 and 9.01 take several seconds to start on my work laptop. It only has an SSD, so I don't know what the delay is from.
