Yes, I use group numbers for such situations. I assign a new group number for
each contest log I import using Jim AD1C excellent ADIF2DXQ program. Besides
contests I also have long entries for my previous call K6ACZ and N7V when I
operated on Coast Guard day as a Coast Guard AUX Comm Sta. With the SAME CALL
widow open when you enter a call into the log CALLSIGN window all past contacts
you have had with the station will show in the SAME CALL window. In the GROUP
NAME column it will show how the call was previously logged, such as 2023 ARRL
DX Contest or N7V USCG AUX. There will be a separate line for each previous
contact.

The Group is the highest feature in the DX4WIN, I've used it ever since the
very first version. It's brilliant, to say the least.
