The assumption appears to be that because various gold and digital currencies are shown on the web site this automatically means that the eCTA is accountable for those gold and digital currencies. This is NOT the case as is evident by the Charter and Mission Purpose of the eCTA. The eCTA is an association of Exchange Providers, Cambios and Market Makers. Not an association of Digital or Gold Issuers. The format and arrangement of the web site listing by gold and digital currencies rather than by members is designed purely for the convienience of customers who are seeking the services of an exchange provider to service their needs. Members could equally be listed by Members, then showing the currencies they deal in but that would not be so convienient for customers or clients who are looking for a member who deals in the particular currency the customer is using. The eCTA is NOT accountable for Issuers and is a representative body for its members only. This does not mean the eCTA cannot undertake any research or investigative procedure with regard to any facet of the gold industry. An example is with the osgold scenario, where some of the Board Members are participating jointly in an investigative procedure with other parties into the OSGold issue. One of the purposes of the eCTA is. "Promote the interests of the member of the group" Reference: http://www.exchangeprovider.net The above purpose demonstrates the eCTA is bound to carry out any supportive action it can where the interests of any of it's members is under threat. It requires no major effort to dwell on the negative aspects of OSGold and adopt an accusative critical approach. . There is no requirement to exacibate the situation with inflamatory 'I'm right., your wrong' style remarks based on mis or not understood information. This does not contribute to any resolution of the problem. A more professional attitude would be to either assist in the resolution in some way or keep one's own counsel on the matter. We will achieve more by pulling together in a professional manner to demonstrate to the rest of the financial community how we handle and cope with such issues.
