Hi, I have a dual-port fibre Ethernet nic (Dual port PF, 82571GB controller) which does not allow me to disable auto-negotiation (with ethttool -s ethx autoneg off.)
Browsing the source code of the driver and the "interfacing" code to ethttool (e1000e.c, ethtool.c and 82571.c) it appears that autoneg is always enabled for fibre PHYs. Is there a way to disable autoneg in these cards?
