Hi Craig, the Problem was - once again - not the build, but the version number. After manually updating the number to 1.7.1, it installed fine. Perhaps you should think about introducing version-numbering like other projects do - developer versions with odd minor-version, releases with even.
Now, that I am ready to compile and install the sources, I may be ready to assist you sometimes. I did not really understand where I have to increase the version numbers. There are many versions in many features... Very confusing.
