Hello,

this is a problem related to using a non-Sun JRE. You will have to start
eclipse using a SUN JRE.

Which Linux Distribution are you using? For Debian-based distris there
is a package "java-package", which you can install and than execute
make-jpkg <path_to_sun_sdk.bin>.
