Leon,
I thought you might be interested in knowing about this entirely
self-sufficient (no irrigation, no fertilizer, no maintenance. Mediterranean
ecosystem on a roof that I did back in the last century. You can see how it
looked as of the last Google Map by entering these coordinates (look around
in "street view" too--the pix are not too good, but you can get the general
idea).

Sorry I can't help with the water velocity meter beyond suggesting that you
check with Forestry Suppliers. I hope you'll share what you learn with
Ecolog.

Subject: [ECOLOG-L] water velocity meters
Hi,
I'd be happy to hear ideas and recommendations for water velocity meters.
We want to measure velocity differences in small microhabitats.
Thanks in advance,
Leon
