Claudia, I've had great luck with the HOBO Standard 30 ft Water Level Data Logger Kit. I used it for my MS research in conjunction with a weir to measure discharge from a drainage basin. It has also been submerged in wells. Here's a helpful website to read more about this product: http://www.microdaq.com/occ/u20/30ft-water-level-data-logger.php?gclid=CK3viKe1t7cCFVMV7AodpXUAaA The standard kit (vs. the deluxe kit) worked just fine for the research I was doing, and the included software was very user-friendly & could produce great graphs. Data logger info:
>> Measure and Record Temperature and Water Level Readings >> 0 to 30 ft (Water Level) and -20°C to 50°C (Temp) Ranges >> Kit Includes (1) Data Logger (#U20-001-01), Shuttle (#U-DTW-1) and HOBOware Pro Software (#BHW-PC) I hope this helps! Dear Listers, I am looking for submersible water level loggers, but the enormous diversity of products on the market has taken me quite aback. I would greatly appreciate any recommendations on this topic. Specifically, I intend to deploy the loggers long-term in shallow lotic environments. Desirable features ideally include long battery life, high logging capacity (memory), fast data download, being able to download the data in the field, and not requiring too much maintenance. (And all of this as inexpensive as possible!) I’d be happy if anyone can make a recommendation regarding a specific producer, or even model, that has worked well for you! Many thanks in advance.
