jakarta has plenty of space but time is always precious :)

of more importance is where the best home for this code is going to be.

it would be possible for this kind of code to be included in a contribs 
section - but it would be a fair amount of work. so, i'd like you to have 
a think about whether it's the best home before .

contribs tend to work best as a home for mature code.

by contributing the code, you'd be turning over ownership (and control). 
the copyright for all code at jakarta is owned by the Apache Software 
Foundation and is distributed under the Apache License.

if you see yourself actively developing the code further, then a 
sourceforge project might work better for you. if you end up developing a 
suite of eclipse plug-ins then you'll probably find it easier to build a 
community over there than here at jakarta and you'd have greater control 
over your project.
