The new decode display feature now being implemented on the P3 
parallels something I just ran across.

50 years ago the Navy had a unit designated the AN/UGA-3(XN-1) which 
took a 1000 Hz International Morse signal from a receiver and 
translated it to Baudot  code so it could be printed by a standard 
Teletype machine.  Accepted from 10 to 120 WPM Morse.  It weighed 
over 100 pounds.  No tubes but over 240 semiconductors.
