I would recommend trying MWSnap, http://www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/mwsnap.html It is a screen capture program that triggered with a hot-key combo that you can change. It has a number of different capture mode. I use it all the time at home and at work for documenting how to use programs since it can be activated while a menu is down and you can capture the menu(s). Some programs can interfere with your ability to get a screen capture. DM780 is a fine example. If you have problems then shut down everything else except your spectrum program.
