What would be so wrong with setting up a filter to exclude anything not from elecraft.com? I also find willful OT postings to be rude, but a filter is a far simpler solution to your problem than setting up an entirely new mailing list.

But, is there a mailing list, "Purely" for announcements from Elecraft re
firmware updates/changes (etc) to their products?

Currently I have little interest in the general traffic on this list (that
seems to be
relpeated over and over) but I would like to be kept informed about changes
issued from Elecraft.
