Bill, I have a Diamond trunk lid mount that fits nicely on the upper edge of the spare tire mount. It attaches with two fairly sharp pointed set screws -- I sanded a little bare spot for ground contact, then applied touch up paint around the seam to seal it.
Feed line is about 6 feet of RG-174 built into the mount, that passes easily over the hatch gasket. The mount itself is a standard 3/8" thread. The mount has been on the car for about five years, still works well and has good ground. I will go look up the Diamond model number tonight and let you know. 73, Mike N2HTT > Hello Mike, > How do you attach your antenna on the spare tire carrier? > Tnx es 73, > Bill Penhallegon W4STX > Clearwater, Florida > _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
