For grounding, I am partial to PowerPole (PP) connectors. I use the 30 amp ones to quickly connect and disconnect the radial wires for my movable vertical. You could use a very short wire from your KX3 ground lug to a PP. If you want to be "code" correct, you can get the PP connectors in all colors including GREEN for ground.
