The West Valley Amateur Radio Association (using the K6EI call) has been running K2s and K3s at field day for at least 5 or 6 years. We run QRP battery for the entire "contest". We use a collection of lead acid batteries in the 100 AH category with solar panels as a power supply.

It's really nice using a world-class radio and they help us achieve good scores.
