Hello Thanks, Trevor for your info. I bought 4 years ago a German ( was it a Chinese made stuff...?) desoldering system. Worked not so well, but was somehow helpful. Needed it after a year of non-use, and just refuses to suck ! And it seems difficult to open : no screws, but a queer sort of clip on the cover and bottom. So I wonder if it shouldn't be wiser to get a definitely reliable tool ! Thanks again for the help Jim F9OJ K2 #937
