Thanks for all the replies. All is well in K3 land here! After loading the unit software and usb driver on my laptop and running the util from there, the K3 reloaded the firmware. All I had to do then was get the com port back to speed for the software I use. Forgot the K3 had an rs232 speed setting in it. daaah!! Now it's working.
