I've noticed the same sub-mode change in data modes but had not tracked it down to the subreceiver (I thought I had a bad macro in my logging software). However, now that Bud has posted this, I can confirm the (bad) behavior as due to turning on the subreceiver - even if I have tapped A -> B twice to set all parameters on both VFOs the same. .
