I had a similar problem: whenever I started elinks I got the following messages: /home/henry/.elinks//elinks.conf:407: unknown option /home/henry/.elinks//elinks.conf:411: unknown option /home/henry/.elinks//elinks.conf:416: unknown option /home/henry/.elinks//elinks.conf:420: unknown option /home/henry/.elinks//elinks.conf:424: unknown option After reading the email I copied the default settings from /etc/elinks/elinks.conf and updated my personal config file.
