Greattings all;

Reading the man pages for master as I just built on the rpi4, I still
can't find a pin on "motion" that tallies its g20/g21 state.

What I have in my axis display is an end of G33.1 time and distance of
the overshoot created by the mass of the chuck at reversal time at the
bottom of the hole. This isn't that hard to measure in hal, and I've
rigged a display of turns and distance of this overtravel so it can be
subtracted from the params passed to the g33.1, but have not yet managed
an automatic subtraction. That would be the ideal, but its a ways down
the log yet. Since at working rpms for a rigid tap when the workpiece is
mounted in a 40 lb 8" 4 jaw, the overshoot can be several turns despite
the belts complaining like Michelin tires on hot blacktop, and the hole
to be tapped is blind, there is a cost to be paid in broken taps as it
hits the bottom of the hole.

Now if I had a motion pin tallying g20/g21 status, I could autoconvert
the displayed overshoot to the working measurement system, mm's or
inches making it much more usable.

Whats chances of seeing such a motion pin materialize?

Cheers, Gene Heskett
