I don't think that was usefull. I replugged both ends of the cable 
several times, then came in and hit return a couple times to mark where 
I had done that in the tail output, but its restarted just the edid read 
5 times since I dd that.  I'll move the monitors wall wart to the ups 
for the next test. But I see no evidence of a supply problem in the 
monitor's video, so while I'll check it, I don't expect to learn 
anything. I checked with github, but that kernel is still the only one 
with an "rt" in its ID string.
