I found cura has been forked and moved to github where I asked if there
was any support for the 3D45 printer, and was directed to another github
site that had the stuff I could add to the appimages .local/cura tree,
works a treat. Still no network though, that's another github link I've
not applied, yet.

So I fired up openscad, made some very minor changes to the 83 tooth, for
a 3mm pitch gt belt. Set the dremels temps halfway between the temps for
PETG, sliced it and fed it to the dremel. Stopped it about 2mm up into
the sprocket teeth as it was slobbering PETG around the outer edges,
breaking it off and scattering it about the build plate. Fired up cura
again and made some changes to the slicer settings, cutting the build
time from 12 hours to 4. Dropped the dremels temps 10C to 240C and 70C.
No more slobbering, actually looked more porous than one I'd made on the
ender3, so I went to my powder scales and weighed both the ender version
and the dremel version, finding the dremel brand PETG was 90 gr heavier!
And it fits the belting perfectly.

Now I'm waiting on the calculated belting loop so I can finish this
project, but that's another month of rowing a junk across the big pond.

In the meantime I can make more of these, which will almost double the
ratio of the A drive supplied with the 6040 gantry mill, increasing the
holding torque enough to actually be usable. That, and replacing the
puny little motor with a 235oz/in that everybody has at least one of in
their junk box, will make a much more usefull A or B drive.

If anyone is interested, I can make more of these. Give me a PM for cost.
The bigger pulley is a press fit over the OEM pulley supplied with
those, using it for the hub. At 83 teeth, it projects about 2mm above
the mounted assembly. when clamped to the 6040 stuff they call a bed.

Thanks everybody.

Cheers, Gene Heskett
