# [email protected] says -lnsl (and -lsocket) are needed for his 386/AT,
# to get the SysV transport functions.
# Chad R. Larson says the Pyramis MIS-ES running DC/OSx (SVR4)
# needs -lnsl.
# The nsl library prevents programs from opening the X display
# on Irix 5.2, according to T.E. Dickey.
# The functions gethostbyname, getservbyname, and inet_addr are
# in -lbsd on LynxOS 3.0.1/i386, according to Lars Hecking.
ac_fn_c_check_func "$LINENO" "gethostbyname" "ac_cv_func_gethostbyname"
if test "x$ac_cv_func_gethostbyname" = xyes; then :
For one example....
I don't suppose it is worth trying to remove it all, we will just
break it, but, blimey, this code must be 30 years old if Irix5.2
(released in 1993) is relevant.
