One of the issues complained of is that some files are licensed LGPL -
2 (which "Adam Ant" believes not to be a valid license)

We did look at relicensing these files but one author (Paul Corner)
flatly refused.

As for the NIST code, I don't know what the answer is, other than our
belief that the original authors (Shackleford and Proctor) appear to
have no objections to our use and licensing.
