Then skip to line 92, Creating RTAI Debian packages That's a really odd problem that I've never before. I was able to build RTAI kernel and module packages on Debian 12, forget my exact release. If it fails again, I'll host the deb packages on my Github. Following those instructions though you should have no problems.
