Was just at a hotel with the replacement circular fluorescent lamps
directly above (2 feet) the hotel provided radio (less cheesy than most).
Turning on the light completely destroyed the signal. AM and FM and all
channels. Turn it off and the radio was nice a clear. Wanted to steal the bulb
to measure later - decided on the towels instead. Not only should these bulbs
have been not been CE marked, they should have had a label for only for use
inside microwave ovens or something.

Subject: CE for Fluorescent Lamps

Dear All,

Some fluorescent lamps (the bulb) are marked with CE and others are not.

What European Directives and standards should fluorescent lamps have to
comply with?
