Hello Les, That's a name from the past! No, I've managed to kick my big laser habit (mostly ... I have a little 80W 532nm one still ) all the big multi-kilowatt stuff is gone. I still have a big CNC router, running EMC obviously and I spend my time messing with audio amplifers, software and microwave radios these days.
I'd kept these ballscrews and rails from an old 300W CO2 laser cutter thinking I might at some time build a router/mill ... but I just bought a nice little "Wabeco CC-F1210E" CNC mill for my shed, which I will put EMC on shortly. The rails and screws are not preventing my getting to my lathe ... so they have to go! All good on your side? A lot of the old names still seem to be here, plus a good smattering of new ones on the IRC chat.
