The tool table is essentially empty on this xyzb mill, but if I had an entry
that adequately describes a .0625" (1.58 mm) ball nose 4 flute mill, with
a .250" LOC, (6.36 mm) including the fact that its a BN, what would the
table entry look like for G21 metric mode?
If the machine is configured in Imperial then the Tool Table will be
Imperial, even in G21 mode.
The software will convert accordingly.
Does the prox switch have a hysteresis?
Yes. They typically have a schmitt trigger to avoid bounce at the edge.
And how then would I go about measuring that? Measure both edges on
both sides, like measure twp holes separations, once with the inside
measuring the max, and once with the outside, measuring the min, add,
/2 to get the center to center?
I'll try that, 1/2 the diff s/b the hysteresis, I think. Then subtract
from the
backlash previously done by assuming one edges wibbles as gospel.
Thanks Andy.
