For all my work I only work in Rhino 3D <https://www.rhino3d.com/> and all CAM is made inside Rhino with the MadCam <http://madcamcnc.com/> extension. Been using that combo the last 6-8 years or something like that. It is not for free, but the time I save with an efficient workflow is worth every penny. And the price is still a fraction of my former SolidEdge license...
