are actually using a Charge Pump for safety?

I have but safety was not a prime consideration at the time. I was out of i/o and setup an addreesable sceme to add another decoder giving me 7 more things I could control. PITA to setup PITA to use, since replaced with a 7i76. Yonks ago now.
