sorry, I cannot reproduce your error.

I am using Firefox on Fedora to view enigma-ref.html.
Copy-pasting via
 a) middle-mouse-key
 b) context menu
into
 i) gedit
 ii) Open Office Writer
works flawlessly for all four combinations.

There is no error in the tex source.
I assume that one of the applications you
are using (browser, viewer, or text editor)
is automatically replacing underscores
by spaces. Maybe you find something in
their options to change this behaviour?
