So, in the meantime... what can I do to help?

This may not be what you are looking for but...

There is E16, now fairly close to a 0.16.7 release.
As opposed to some of the EFL libraries and apps, this code is
*supposed* to be rock solid, and should be tested thoroughly
before a release.

To test E16 (use CVS, 0.16.6 is old news)
- use it
- in particular, pay attention to the interaction between
apps and the WM, like moving, resizing, stacking, placement,
   focus, remembered settings, etc.
- report problems to this list including instructions on how
   to reproduce
- track down the problems, if you are up to that :)

Getting experience with these things will make your testing skills
really useful by the time E17 hits us.

Another useful contribution would be to write up some documentation
about how to properly install a window manager in all kinds of different
scenarios, i.e. different distributions, using xdm/gdm/kdm/entrance,
replacing the GNOME/KDE "native" WM's, using .Xclients, etc., etc.

/Kim
