I was just thinking about a possible cool feature for ewl. As most of you know, Gimp 2 has dynamic keybinding for menu functions (hover mouse over menu function, then press key combination). I was just wondering if it's possible to add that feature directly to ewl; then every ewl app could automatically have that feature.
Yeah, I've thought about adding this feature. It's not really feasible until some of the key binding issues are straightened out.
Cool
An other thing is the spinners. With gtk apps, you can use a scroll wheel to increase/decrease the value. I think its a good idea to include, but even cooler would be to take an idea from blender. I think it would be awesome if I could click in the spinner with the middle mouse button and drag to change the value. The faster you drag, the quicker the value changes. Obviously left/down decreases value, right/up increases it.
Dan Sinclair added mouse wheel support to the spinner today. The other idea is interesting, I've never been a big fan of that sort of manipulation, but it might make sense as an option.
I think one of the reasons I like this idea is that it gives you easy control over the rate at which the value changes, making it easy to get your value quickly without having to keep clicking the mouse button.
