yes. it's on the todo list. no, so far no work has been done to support it.
directfb doesn't suddenly give evas video capabilities - it might make it a
little easier, but dfb's api will probably not work well with the planned api i
have for video objects. also i wouldn't condone a canvas feature (as far as
objects go) that is ONLY available in one engine. it really must span across ALL
rendering engines. so the likely first port of call is the software engine as
this drives the fb, software_x11 and qtopia engines already. but as i said. this
is on a todo list, but as yet hasn't had time devoted to it.
