Thanks for your answer. I'll try removing the session entries (which
were in the default config file) and see how it goes.

I must say in always start X by doing "startx" and having a correct
.xinitrc. I have no idea how sessions are supposed to work. I looked
quickly at the Xsession script, and it seems to be doing a lot of ssh,
but I don't really know why.
