Yes on my screen it looks nearly the same. (1280x1024 on a 17" monitor).
But the monitor is ~ 8 years old,...

I wrote a lot of gtk2 applications and never implemented this feature. I
expect if you use a "finished" widget this functionality should be
implemented in the widget (or not).

Ok, I created yet a 'winter-like-large' theme (SilverMania), but how can
I learn to theme elicit or more generell all E0.17 apps? Or is the theme
format API still in development and change often?

Ok, you're right. I tried today Enlightenment on another monitor
(1280x1024 on borrowed very sharp 17" LCD). But until I'm a poor student
I've no money to buy a new :-( I think I create a new bigger theme.

Say what you like or dislike in my theme and I'll change it to a new e16
"really blurry old monitor" theme for half blind people ;-)
