Hi, see attached patch. If ~/.e/e/logs/debug-border.log exists, it will be filled with whatever info is emitted by the theme (emission == "debug"), e.g.:
emit("debug", "blah");
When the log file doesn't exist, no debug data will be gathered.
I think this is very useful, since it's more convenient than grepping
e17's stdout for debug messages from themes.
Do you consider it useful enough to go into CVS?
