As I told you in irc, horizontal expanding is a genlist's default behavior.
To meet your needs, 1. We need to create another item style which supports ellipsis. 2. Name it as "elm/genlist/item_compress/blarblar/default" 3. Call elm_genlist_compress_mode_set() API. This is bothersome. I can enhance this but it will break applications. It's quite simple but needs some considerations. Anyhow, I'll work on this. Thanks.
