Hi Frédéric,
Solution ID: ent15131 Environment: V2H124-24 Solution: How to recover from a lost password: 1. If the system firmware is less then version 2.3.2.0, upgrade to firmware 2.3.2.0 or higher via xmodem (procedure from Appendix A of the Configuration Guide <http://www.enterasys.com/support/manuals/hardware/3925_03.pdf> ). 2. Contact Enterasys Networks Technical Services <http://www.enterasys.com/support/gtac-amer.html> for assistance, providing the MAC Address from the white sticker on the rear of the unit. 3. After Enterasys provides you with the equivalent password unique to your switch; follow these instructions to access the switch (either serially or via Telnet), change your admin password, log out, then log back in using your new password: 4. Username: __super (uses a double-underscore) 5. Password: <password_provided_by_Enterasys> 6. CLI session with the host is opened. 7. To end the CLI session, enter [Exit]. 8. Console#configure 9. Console(config)#username admin password 0 <new_password> 10.Console(config)#exit 11.Console#copy running-config startup-config 12.Startup configuration file name []: startup 13.Console#exit 14. 15.Username: admin Password: <new_password> Regards, Andy From: Frédéric GIRARD [mailto:f...@dci-fr.com] Sent: 03 February 2010 13:38 To: Enterasys Customer Mailing List Subject: [enterasys] Reset factory default on V2H124-24 Hi All, I have a V2H124-24 but I don't remember the password.
