I'm hardly going to tell you it's not okay, but I really did mean a
separate page.  This is for two reasons:

* Having a separate page calls it out as significant in a way that even
required fields on the main reg form do not

* The separate page gives more room for explanation about both the
community-oriented nature of the conference and why volunteering is so
critical to conference success

Also, to address Doug's point, you can have an option labeled "Send me
info about volunteering during the con -- I can't commit now"
