I see Mr Pinner is streets ahead of me. Ignore me. :-)

I have drafted a partial reply to Stephen (below). Wanted to run it by
everyone so as to present a united front.
In particular, I do not have any information on acceptance rates, nor do
I have any idea about other attendees from VMWare. If anyone has that
information, would they like to append and reply to stephen? Thanks!

Stephen,
Thanks very much for your interest.
I (Jonathan Hartley) am going to schedule the talks. I'm sure we can
accommodate your requirement to speak on a particular date. (If many
others also ask, then I might have to turn down those future requests,
depending on the logistics of scheduling.)
I'll make a note of your date requirement myself, but could you also
attach a note to that effect to your talk submission as a reminder for
myself and others. Thanks!
The submission deadline is 5th April 2009, described on the CFP page here:
http://www.europython.eu/talks/cfp/
By that time you only need to have completed the submission process
described on that page. Final submission of completed papers, handouts,
and slides is 20th June 2009.
Guidelines in length are just to produce a presentation that conforms to
the advertised 30 or 45 minute slots. An accompanying paper can be any
length and is not required if your presentation seems to have sufficient
merit.
All your other questions regarding hotels, special rates, transport and
maps will be put together and released over the next few weeks on the
main site at:
http://www.europython.eu/
Keep an eye on the blog for announcements:

Regards,
