I fear that (if this is possible: I'd have to ask RomanCart) there
would still be a problem, as the delegate's address would not match
the card-holders address (ie that registered with the card company)
and the payment would be rejected.

I've added a note to the Checkout page explaining what to do if you're
paying for a delegate with someone else's card.

Of the 70 people so far booked, only one other person has wanted to
pay by another's card, so it isn't a big problem.

The point is that we are registering delegates, not card holders. Last
year we had issues where delegates were registered in card holders'
names, with incorrect badges etc, so we've tried to stop that
happening.
