Hello,

as Stefan I also wikied up travelodge, and stumbled upon this sentence:

"""[...] their business model required them to run all their hotels
at maximum capacity, and that a 'last man standing' policy would
ensure this always occurred."""

Now I would love to learn what a 'last man standing' policy is.
(Googling gave me an article about a movie. Translation would be
"letzter stehender Mann", which I put as in "the one who arrives last
at the hotel will stand through the night", but: what is this phrase
really?

Thanks for helping me improve my knowledge of English phrases,

Harald
