I don't know if there are any lawyers or accountants around here but I have a question. The Alabama Supreme Court has just decreed that frozen embryos, and even fertilized egg cells, are legally children, some people have dozens of them and if all of them are children then couldn't they use them as tax deductions? I also wonder if ALCOR could now legally insist that the frozen adults they have in their care are patients and are entitled to the same rights and privileges that hospital patients have.
Shock, anger, confusion grip Alabama after court ruling on embryos <https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2024/02/20/alabama-supreme-court-ivf-embryos/> John K Clark See what's on my new list at Extropolis <https://groups.google.com/g/extropolis> 32m -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Everything List" group.
