Just a note:

If you are dual booting with windows, and don't connect through the
"external interface" to another windows machine, or a Novell network, you
should disable the IPX/SPX and NetBEUI protocols. They aren't compatible
with the internet, and if your protocol list is as you've listed, Windows is
trying to use the first three protocols before it even gets to the TCP/IP
attempt. This will slow down your outgoing requests (Windows try a protocol,
if there's no response, it goes to the next, and so on until it gets a good
response).

If you don't connect to a Novell network at all, get rid or the IPX/SPX
protocol altogether. If you have a windows based LAN connected to this
machine, you can keep the NetBEUI, but make sure you disable it on the
outgoing NIC.
