no clue ... but how about moving your evolution personal files ( /home/(whoever)/.evolution ) somewhere else so evolution doesn't find them, and start it..? if it works, you will have an empty inbox, but you can import your emails back from where you left them with the import files provided in evolution's file menu. ( btw this will reset all settings too, i think. ) HTH Damian
