I was thinking freshmeat because they have (had?) some computer readable interfaces, but the python page looks less than well maintained. Likewise do the Python package in the cheeseshop :/
I don't know how nice this is, but perhaps you could leech off someone else who are known to keep their packages reasonably up to date.
