Sorry, I should mention also that the 0.9 line will probably *not* see
this move around -- even though it's an internal API, I plan on
avoiding significant changes of this nature in 0.9.x. So feel free to
use the mentioned technique to close the remote connection -- I wasn't
meaning to warn against doing so.
