Do rocks from Mars fall onto the Earth?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Analysis of the chemical composition of some meteorites suggests that
they may be pieces of the planet Mars. They were probably thrown
into space during large asteroid impacts on Mars, and may have spent
millions of years in orbit before falling onto the Earth.

In 1996 tiny fossil-like structures, smaller than bacteria, were
discovered inside one of these Mars rocks. There is debate about
whether these cylindrical capsules were once living cells.

Is there life on Mars? The presence on Earth of Martian meteorites
may have given us a rare, close-up look at Martian chemistry, but we
still have no certain answers about Martian life forms.
